The Masseria Cisternella farm, which extends over twenty hectares, consists of a large area of olive groves and cultivated red soil; bushes of myrtle, agave and prickly pears, caper plants, fig and almond trees characterize the surrounding landscape.
The farm is bordered by dry stone walls, and numerous trulli already shelters for shepherds and farmers dot the area, evoking ancient civilizations. Seven spacious rooms have been created from the ancient Masseria overlooking the sea and arranged in a crown of the fragrant garden of lavender, rosemary, thyme and laurel. The orchard and citrus grove show off in a large area of the company.
In carrying out the recovery, environmentally friendly materials from local traditions were used: native stones, wrought iron and wood for the roofs, and, for the furniture, solid chestnut. In the same vein we have used alternative energy sources: photovoltaic and solar panels. Each room has a large exclusive covered outdoor area, where in the morning it is possible to have breakfast. The panoramic terrace is a platform on the surrounding countryside. It is the ideal location where you can enjoy breakfast outdoors, read a book, but above all to dive with the view into the Ionian Sea. From there you can admire the park of the trulli on the land planted with potatoes and at sunset while the red sun enters the sea you can taste typical products and aperitifs.
